The Frost Rhealm Commission

Recently I had the pleasure of working with Doragon Kishu or @Dragon_Ryder7 on twitter with his Frost Rhealm D&D module. Here are some of the sketches from that commission. This is my first module I worked on for someone who is self-publishing an adventure. While I attempted to illustrate maps as well I didn’t feel that comfortable doing them. I will have to practice them in the future to get better! The entire process with working with someone and collaborating with them was fun. I learned a lot!

If you would like to hire me to illustrate for you please see my contact/rates page here  or email me at

Happy New Year!!

Well folks it is 2019 and I am one year away from being 40 years old! I guess I can finally say I am mostly an adult. Although there are days when adulting can be tedious. I am really looking forward to the new year!

2018 seemed to be a year of heartache and pain for many reasons. My stepdad passed away this last year. One of his last gifts for me was an an art book. In some way I think it was his way of telling me not to give up on my dreams as an artist. We didn’t always see eye too eye on things but towards the end I think our relationship fostered and grew closer.

2018 also had me seek new full time- employment as an Art Para for our local grade school. Everyday I will be surrounded by young curious minds who want to express themselves creatively.  This is really good for me. I love inspiring creativity in people. Watching kids discover new art techniques and seeing how creative they can be inspires me in my own work.

Looking forward in 2019 . Having a resolution is great but honestly having a plan of action and a goal to work towards can yield better results. One of my resolutions is to learn how to draw better. I feel like the teenage version of me had a deep well of talent and mostly squandered it before it could be refined. I have never been one for technique or discipline but now that I’ve spun my wheels for the last 15 years artistically I know the value of building that refinement in your work.

I hope you all have blessed 2019. May the gods of creativity, passion, and wonder fill you with the joy and the frustration of creation.

Local Artist Gallery

Hey everyone guess what?!! I was accepted into my local art gallery. Artforms Gallery has wonderful array of local artists from the South East Kansas and Four State Area! I will bring my digital fantasy illustration to downtown Pittsburg, Kansas! I’ve been a longtime believer that if you can’t be where your market it as at then you must create your market where your at. Please stop by this August and take a look! Thanks everybody! Click this link to see what I will be showing!

The Horned God

The Horned God explores a spiritual journey through the wilderness of my imagination. Establishing a mythic perspective I can explore my inner subconscious and better connect with the world around me. I may want to try this with traditional media later on as well to see if the sensual process of traditional media allows for greater creative awakening.

The All Seeing Slicer final version

The All Seeing Slicer is a minion creature of The All Seeing Eye. The All Seeing Eye sends its Slicer minions into battle too soften them up. It’s bulbous Eye floats above as tendril of veins roots itself into a clockwork body. This was done with Procreate App and an IPad 2 .
